Babe #4 and I started our Halloween puzzle. My mom graciously gives us one each season.
So we turned over and sorted all the pieces. Edges in one pile. Middle pieces in another. Corners to the side.
And we chatted. And laughed. And worked out the kinks of the frame. Because we always finish that first. And time slipped by while we worked in unison.
And faithful Nola laid at our feet. Presumably waiting for a piece to drop. So she could run away with it. Hoping we’d chase her.
And I got to thinking. How genuinely happy I was. But how the world tries to convince you. That it’s not enough. That your next adventure. Is waiting right around the corner.
Where the grass will surely be greener. And you will most certainly be satisfied. And all your dreams will surely come true.
But anyone I know. Who’s worth her salt. Knows the truth about life.
Because the best people. Know that life is lived. Where you plant your feet. And take your time. And invest your energy. And share all the pieces of yourself. Where you finish what you start with love.
And these people know That when you do that. With relentless consistency. Piece by piece. Your life unfolds. Into the most beautiful scene.
One that doesn’t depend on the next big thing. Because they know. That the next big thing. Is really all the little things. Rolled together to make up your ordinarily, beautiful life.
So I think I’ll keep working on my puzzle, friends. Until all my pieces fit. Because I’ve got plenty of time. And absolutely no place I’d rather be.
Hello lovelies! I’ve had a nice little break away from social media and Autumn is in full swing!
My bones and joints are hurting and my muscles feel weaker after any activity I do. I love this time of the year but as the weather gets colder my body starts to shut down.
But I’m making small steps in to what I feel helps me. I’m going to document these small steps anyway I can because ever since I opened up my account and shared my story I feel I’m coping with my illnesses that little bit more.
My first step is getting creative. I’ve come to an end of most of my specialist appointments now, with only one more to go. So I now feel I have the energy to do the things I enjoy most. And when it gets to this time of the year what makes me happy is putting on Disney films or Harry Potter and doing some crafts! Let the crafts begin!!....also how cute are these miniature pumpkins from Sainsbury’s??
I hope your week is going as good as can be!
