Still feeling very thankful after this weekend’s festivities 🍁🍁🍁 especially grateful for moments spent with gentle cuties like Ein! This shy, kind-natured pup is up for adoption with @fetch _and_releash - please read more about this stunner below. 🐶
Ein / M / approx. 1.5 yrs / 48 lbs / Shepherd Mix / Oshawa
Meet Ein! Ein was rescued from the lonely streets of Texas where he lived with a pack of 5 other stray dogs. His rescuer tried for many months to capture them, and one day she was successful. Lacking in human socialization for most of his life, Ein was extremely timid and fearful. He has come quite a ways since then, but will need a very special family that is understanding of his background.
Ein is a shy and timid boy at first, but when giving the opportunity to warm up on his terms, he’s all tail wags, kisses and hugs with his trusted people. Ein enjoys playing with this stuffies, cuddling with his foster mum and going for walks, but his favorite thing by far is playing with other dogs. He’s never met a pup that he doesn’t like and gains ten fold in confidence when his dog pals are around. An ideal home for Ein would be one with another social and confident dog that he can learn from.
Initially, Ein can be very nervous of new people, especially men, and may bark or growl if his space is not respected. He has never attempted to bite but only wants to say "Please, give me space!" Ein requires proper introductions, time and space to feel comfortable with new people. His future family will need to understand that they have to be patient with him. They should also be prepared to put the effort into building his confidence through slow and gradual intros to new people and situations. He would do best in a family that has experience working with shy dogs.
Ein would prefer a home with a fenced yard in a quieter neighbourhood, but would be fine in a condo provided his exercise needs were met. He does not like the unpredictable energy of children and would do best with dog savvy kids 16+ that are able participate in his on-going socialization. He is not cat tested. (Continued in comments.)
