Wowza are things heating up for 2020! I can’t hardly believe how full our calendar has become before official “engagement season” hits! Someone asked me the other day what my top planning tips are, so I thought I’d give it a whirl!
Number ONE: Don’t rush the design process. Seriously, don’t - stop what you’re doing and log off Pinterest and unfollow “wedding inspo” on Instagram. A wedding design is meant to come together organically. In order for every detail to be thought out and intentional, it must take time! Let the process evolve. In the meantime tell Aunt Suzy your “colors” are TBD 😘.
Number TWO: Cheaper isn’t always better. In this industry, if we’ve learned anything (over several years of planning events) you get what you pay for. There is a reason vendor A is more expensive than vendor B and C. They have run the numbers, have spent years perfecting their processes, and have proven they won’t be bankrupt before your wedding. Pay for them, appreciate them and most of all - be nice to them 🙌🏼.
Number THREE: Don’t let the stress of planning a wedding affect the most amazing time of your life - your engagement! Hire your dream vendor team, and then let them do their job and have fun with the process. Don’t sweat the small stuff, embrace all the little cheesy moments. You only do this once and fifteen years from now, it’s not going to matter that your Mom bought the wrong color flip flops for the dance floor 🥳. .
I have SO many more to share, but for now these will have to do! Happy planning friends!! .
