Beach days are back!
Yesterday we spent the day exploring Bribie Island.
I can't believe such a beautiful piece of paradise is just a 40 minute drive from north Brisbane!
The island is home to many species of wildlife in and out of the water with our family being lucky enough to spot a small pod of dolphins playing off Banksia Beach!
There are also dugongs, turtles, a local seal that visits and many other opportunities to see marine life.
The island is also a bird sanctuary with over 350 species of birds to spot (great for birdwatching enthusiasts) and around 55 square kilometres of the island is uninhabited National Park lands.
There is so much of the island you can explore by 4wd, with many camping spots right on the beach accessable only by 4wd.
Make sure to wave hello to the local kangaroos on the beach too!
We have many places on Bribie we still have to explore, and plan on getting a permit in the next few weeks to go and explore a bit more.
Bribie, you never fail to put on a show every time we visit!
