Leave 🕶 if you love to travel. When was the last time you visited a new place? And by new place, I mean a new ‘sight to see’ - like a new garden, museum, tourist attraction, park, beach, island, etc… You don’t need to go out of state or to another country to experience the joy of traveling. Just look within your area, neighboring cities or surrounding counties. You can always find someplace new to discover. Oftentimes, we take for granted that there’s so much to do and see here in the Los Angeles area. People from all over the world travel to visit our local gems - yet we think that because we live here, we can go there anytime but end up never actually putting in the effort to visit unique, beautiful and interesting places. So we let it just pass us by. Today, I challenge you to make it a routine to visit a new place as if you were a tourist. Depending on your current goals and lifestyle, you can make this a weekly thing, bi-weekly, monthly or quarterly. Just fit it in somehow. Don’t miss out on life and the gift of the opportunity to receive so much wonder and beauty that surrounds you on this planet. Life is more than just the routine of going to work, hustling, obligations and responsibilities. Sprinkle some adventure into your life. Create memories with loved ones. Go by yourself if nobody is available. You can find something that suits your budget - all you need to do is take the step to actually plan it and do it - whether it’s for 1/2 a day, a full day or a full weekend. Credit: @maxinetorosian
To celebrate the month of October with you, here I share a recent trip to the haunted and charming Queen Mary at Long Beach. One of the things I love doing the most is walking through history. I could just feel all the events that took place on this ship with the memories pouring through the walls and the floors of this stunning deck. I encourage everyone to pay a visit to #thequeenmary this month and to spend at least 1/2 a day there.
