Our building work is well and truly underway. 2.5 weeks in, our garage is looking more and more like a room. The garage door is now a window, the floor has been raised, a huge hole has been knocked into the interior wall, the boiler has been moved, the electrics have been done and plastering is about to start.
What I've learnt though is that if finding a builder you trust, spending a big chunk of money, choosing everything from kitchen units to flooring to plug sockets and dealing with the mess aren't stressful enough, throwing in a toddler hell-bent on 'helping' is enough to tip you overboard. How he's not done something stupid like lick the circular saw is baffling! Roll on completion.
