Sometimes it rains. Sometimes it snows. Sometimes like this morning it is howling a gale. Sometimes like a few days ago you don’t even take a photo because there is just no light.
Sometimes you realise you left your battery at home or the tripod or the bedroom floor( yep both of them)
But every now and again you catch a bit of luck. A bit of a luck which creates atmosphere which creates an inversion which builds atmosphere. And when this happens it makes everything perfect again and you forget all the bad days and start at zero again. Then reset the system.
Why? That’s why we do it that’s why we brace ourselves for the coldest of conditions. Why we walk the miles in the dark. Why we encourage the cold. Because when it happens when it does finally go right everything is just perfect for that moment. A Photo caught in time to never be the same again. The Peak District is that of a special place you can take the same photo every day for a whole year and the conditions will never be the same again not completely the same.
